Quantity Over Quality

I know it's not worth dwelling on it for too long because it's just falling on deaf years, but it's become very obvious that the NCAA only cares about money. It has put quantity above quality, and it's sickening. I have yet to hear an argument for it.
Last year, while attending Stephen F. Austin, I watched the Lumberjacks make it to the big dance for the first time in school history, and just today, they lost in the conference championship to Sam Houston State who will be representing the Southland Conference this year.
The first couple rounds of the NCAA tournament are extremely interesting, but by throwing in a bunch of teams who aren't deserving of it, you're just watering it down, and watering the down the NIT even more if that's even possible.
A No. 1 seed has never lost to a No. 16, so why add more? It's making it less of an accomplishment if you do make it. In fact, pretty soon it'll be more of an embarrassment for the teams that don't make it than it will an honor for those that do.
Well, I did say it's no use dwelling on it, but it just frustrates me. Maybe we should just enjoy a good thing while it lasts, because this could after be the end of the NCAA as we know it. Man, I'm really going to miss the days when only 65 teams made the tournament. I'm really going to miss the days when the NCAA wasn't concerned about money as it is today. I'm really going to miss the days when they were about quality over quantity.
In the mean time, enjoy filling out your bracket(s).
